Capsule Description
- Hikaru is a young Japanese noblewoman and skilled archer trying to find the Matagama in order to save her brother. She is accompanied on her dangerous mission by her retainer Watanabe no Tsuna and former Imperial soldier Sadamitsu.
- They plan to steal the Matagama from the Tsuchi-no-gumo, a gang of brutal mountain bandits.
- Back in the capital, (Kyoto) Hikaru's brother and the emperor have fallen ill due to mysterious circumstances. (Not so mysterious for Hikaru's brother if you read the two volume manga which serves as a sort of prequel to the anime.)
