I got into manga ,and later anime, when I turned 13, (literally, the day I turned 13) although I had seen anime in many forms beforehand. I had previously gotten into comic books during long, boring visits to a large department store that has since closed.

During middle school and high school, my manga obsession and habit of drawing during class garnered me a lot of teasing and I became an outcast. There was no anime club and no one in the school who shared my interests. (It was a small private school) During high school, however, I gained friends from other schools who shared my same interests. I started a webcomic (now defunct) during my sophomore year, the same year I started attending Anime Expo.

Also during AX07, I performed as a part of [[Minna no Nur Puppy]] in the ASOS Brigade's Haruhi Dance Contest. We won first place (not the grand prize however!) and got to dance on stage at the SOS Invasion Tour at AX07. [[Minna no Nur Puppy]] will be appearing on the fourth disc of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (American release)

I came to Cal Poly to study print journalism in 2005 and immediately got started with MnA. I am overjoyed to be able to serve Minna no Anime as an officer and look forward to having lots of fun with all of you!

Now I attend Fanime and Yaoi con as well as Anime Expo.

Recently I saw Gackt, Yoshiki, Miyavi and Sugizo perform as S.K.I.N. at AX07 with Eric Nakaki and James Taka Oku.

Law of Ueki

*Ueki is a Japanese junior high student who has unwittingly gained the power to turn trash into trees and the ability to lose all his other talents if he uses it to hurt others.
*Ueki has also been entered in to the Celestial King competition by his teacher "K-Sensei" and now must fight against the 99 other candidates' junior high school students with amazingly confusing powers in order to win "the talent of blank."

*Hikaru is a young Japanese noblewoman and skilled archer trying to find the Matagama in order to save her brother. She is accompanied on her dangerous mission by her retainer Watanabe no Tsuna and former Imperial soldier Sadamitsu.
*They plan to steal the Matagama from the Tsuchi-no-gumo, a gang of brutal mountain bandits.
*Back in the capital, (Kyoto) Hikaru's brother and the emperor have fallen ill due to mysterious circumstances. (Not so mysterious for Hikaru's brother if you read the two volume manga which serves as a sort of prequel to the anime.)

Building 26

Building 26 is the home of both the Journalism department and the Graphic Communication department.

President [[Annaliese Christman]] and Vice President [[Daniella Orihuela-Gruber]] are regular visitors to building 26 being graphic communication and journalism majors, respectively.

Surprisingly enough, they rarely see each other there.
They didn't see each other there all of 2005-2006 and have only seen each other a few, rare times in 2006-2007.

Brave Story

*Brave Story is about a young boy named Wataru who goes into another world to change his fate and save his mother.
*It is based on a book by Miyuki Miyabe which is now available in the US. There is also a manga series and a PSP game based loosely on the book as well.
*Really awesome animation, but really nasty CG.
*The super limited set is totally worth the $100 I spent on it. -Annaliese

If you've ever tried to herd cats, then you'll know what it must feel like to be the main male character. The show exists entirely of two-episode-long stand alone stories, all of which involve the main female character, Mana, running off on her own, getting killed, coming back to life, and finding someone else who is looking for/has eaten/knows about mermaid flesh. The new character's problems then become Mana and the dude's problems until the end of the two episodes. Rinse, wash, repeat. Princess Tutu for Men

You never hear the girls squealing about ballet series [[Princess Tutu]] Only the guys.

Specifically, one guy... who will remain nameless. Should you wish to know who, simply ask "What time is it?" After Mai Hime... you will hear him.

This may be true, but the guys don't squeal like the girls during KKM.

For some reason the above contributor believes that not squealing to an anime only lightly salted with homosexual tendencies makes them more of a man. However, since they still squeal (like little girls) at the mere mention of an anime that is based around fairytales and ballet, sugar, spice and everything nice, etc., they really don't have much of a claim to machismo.

Duck is just that--an ordinary duck. But one day, she gains the ability to transform into Princess Tutu to gather the shattered pieces of prince Mytho's heart and fight against the monster raven who broke it.

This is a downright adorable show...and it stays that way, even though it starts to get dark towards the end. The characters are almost all likeable (except for a few minor ones) and the story is beautiful.

*Pure delight! The visual almost surreal visual style takes me back to the days of [[Revolutionary Girl Utena]]. The main character is sterotypically not the brightest bulb, but not to the point of being annoying. This magical girl anime has an excelent symbolic battles which fits the ballet theme of the show perfectly. On top of this, plot twists abound to keep you wanting more!

I got into anime when I turned 13, (literally, the day I turned 13) although I had seen anime in many forms beforehand.
No, I lie, I got into MANGA when I turned 13. Anime just came naturally after that. I had previously gotten into comic books during long, boring visits to a large department store that has since closed.

During middle school and high school, my manga obsession and habit of drawing during class garnered me a lot of teasing and I became an outcast. There was no anime club and no one in the school who shared my interests. (It was a small private school) During high school, however, I gained friends from other schools who shared my same interests. I started a webcomic (now defunct) during my sophmore year, the same year I started attending Anime Expo.

Around the same time I got really into J-rock. My first Jrock concert was at my first Anime Expo where I saw Duel Jewel. I attended PMX at 17 and saw TM Revolution and Psycho le Cemu. This last year I met Mana, my idol and god, at Anime Expo 2006, which was better than sex.

I came to Cal Poly to study print journalism in 2005 and immediately got started with MnA. I ran for secretary and won and it makes me really excited to be involved in club!!!

Now I attend Fanime and Yaoi con as well as Anime Expo.

Seriously. Boy and girl fall in love. Girl is recruited to house this ultimate fighting machine in her body. Hides it from boy. Boy finds out. They get all sobby together. Decide to run away. Get caught running away. Girl gets taken away. Girl has machine take over more of her body as she continues to use said machine.

Its not emo, its just SAD.

Its about this cute chick who has three eyes. Said chick "used to be" a normal teenager going to high school, hanging out with her friends. Before that she used to be a really powerful demon! A godforsaken piece of fan-based literature ripping off the characters (and possibly storylines) of already copyrighted series in order to make two characters hook up despite how wrong or unlikely said relationship is in the actual series.

Usually crappily done, at least by the author of this page's opinion. (The author's opinion can be deemed credible since she is a journalism major and a published writer at that.)
