Sandwich Board Design Contest: Due 4/9/2011
Posted: Thu Feb 24, 2011 5:48 pm
Rules for the Sandwich Board Contest are as follows:
Edits Made:
- - There will be two winners! Each person gets one side of the board.
- You don't have to be a student at Cal Poly or a member to enter!
- One entry per person.
- Entry can be either digital or paint as the final product. If paint, it's suggested that you come help us paint the picture as we may mess up your design.
- Design is 2' x 3'. If digital, the final picture also needs to be 300dpi.
- When presenting your design for voting, give it in the format of under 1000px if you're entering it digitally. We accept traditional entries as well.
Design Must Include...- - Minna no Anime website (minnanoanime.org should be fine)
- Minna no Anime name, room number, date, time, and brief description
- Minna no Manga name, date, time, and brief description. The room number will be on the events page, but if you have a better idea, please explain it!
- Space for a 8.5" x 11" paper detailing events happening at MnA
- Space for a 8.5" x 14" paper showing this year's anime lineup- For the two above, we plan on laminating/buying waterproof paper and tucking them into small flaps in the design if it's a digital print. If it's paint, we'll do magnets. If you have a better idea, please explain it!

- - Minna no Anime website (minnanoanime.org should be fine)
- You'll get your design on the sandwich board for posterity!
If you're doing a digital entry, please be ready to tell us what font you used as we'll need it for the Lineup and Events pages as well as the MnM numbers. If you designed those as well, kudos to you! I'll take you out to a nice dinner or something. #notLikeADate #foodIsTheBestPrize
- Use the Rasterbator to let your printer print out the picture in multiple pages. Note: The file size limit is 1mb, so make your picture a smaller resolution.
Let me know in advance if you want to test it on the sandwich board, and I'll bring it to club on Thursday or Saturday. If you can't make those days, we can figure something out I'm sure.
